Homeschool and Halloween

Well, we are pretty far into our 2nd 6 weeks. Homeschooling has been a learning process for me. Kinadie and Kara are both in the beginning stages of 4th grade reading according to the assessments given. We're working on writing and this has been a tough one. Especially for Kara. I am in the process of more word work and spelling. We doing more blends and digraphs instead of memorization. Of course all of this takes time. Kaylee Jo has done real well with the letter of the week and number of the day. Thanks to Count Dracula off Sesame Street we decided to go with a number of the day. We're getting ready to work on patterns soon.

It is beautiful here in Germany in the Autumn. All the trees are picture perfect. Thankfully it has been warm enough throughout soccer season. The girls did really well. Kinadie learned a lot. Kinadie has decided to run in 5ks this winter and Kara wants to try basketball. Kaylee Jo is just old enough to start cheer. So that's what we'll be doing soon.

Halloween was quick! We went to a trunk or treat and a few homes on post. The girls were able to fill their buckets and we came home. The oldest two sugared out to bed but I had to keep tucking Kaylee Jo in! She came out about 4 times! Too much of a good thing!

Here are some of the things we have done in the past few weeks.

The girls doing some Math. (Kara: MathUSee and Kinadie: Teaching Textbooks)
