Our Trip to Trier

At least once a month Kris will get a four day. That means he will have Friday and Monday off. Last weekend he had one so I let him do all the planning and off we went to Trier!

 2nd century Roman bridge

 The beautiful daffodils. They're everywhere!

 The house of Karl Marx

Toy Store with toys of all kinds!

Porta Nigra the old entrance to the city

Trier Cathedral with market below

Kinadie took these! ha ha

Kaylee Jo wanted to take one!

Entrance to the Cathedral

The wall outside the room that holds the robe of Jesus

Looking inside the room

Finally some food!!

This hanging grill is called a Schwenker

 Yum!

Constantine Basilica

 Funny girls!!

The Palace of Trier (under construction)

Gardens and fountains in front of the palace

Roman bath ruins

The foot of Constantine

There were some buildings that we couldn't identify but it was so amazing to be walking around some of the oldest pieces of history! I encourage you to look up the history. I'm still uncertain on the authenticity of the robe of Jesus. Would love to hear what you think!
